This week was rough. I felt fatigued for most of it, and I had a bought of angry hunger on Friday. I'm implementing some dietary changes to try and get that under control, and I'm not going to push hard on my training until I've got it sorted out. In hindsight, I can see that I was tending toward a junk-food vegetarian diet again, and it's not hard to fathom that the diet might have had something to do with my troubles. I'm shifting myself away, slowly, starting with cutting out sugars and processed carbs. I'm still leaving fruits in my diet, in moderation, unless I can prove a negative effect.
Tuesday: Race four of the AdiRUNdack Trail Series. I had stomach issues for most of the evening, due to eating way too many potato chips in the afternoon.
Thursday: Tonight's run was interesting: a patron at a local bar thought that my running vest (a high-visibility one) was the funniest thing he had ever seen, but somehow his drinking companions missed it, because I heard him espousing on the hilarity and existence of it for quite a while. I decided to avoid the bar on the way back. After my run, when I was walking, I heard a Barred Owl calling several times, with it's distinctive "Who cooks for you, who cooks for youuuuuuu?". I enjoyed that much more than the drunken fool.
